While the holiday season seems to start earlier every year, gifts always need to be delivered by the 25th. The peak season holiday shipping rush is around the corner. Depending on the carrier you choose and which service you select, you may need to ship out orders much sooner. We’ve created a list of every shipping deadline you need to know to make sure your gifts arrive right on time.

UPS® holiday shipping deadlines in the US
- UPS 3 Day Select®: Thursday, December 19, 2024 (UPS 3 Day Select® packages picked up Dec. 20 will be scheduled for delivery on Friday, Dec. 27)
- UPS 2nd Day Air® services: Friday, December 20, 2024
- UPS® Ground: Check Wednesday, December 18, 2024
- UPS® Ground Saver: Tuesday, December 17, 2024
- UPS Next Day Air® services: Monday, December 23, 2024
USPS® holiday shipping deadlines in the US
In addition to these dates, USPS announced they will be resuming a temporary rate increase for some package services from October 6th to January 19th. Surcharges are normal this time of year for all major carriers. This helps them handle the increased package volume during the holiday season and ensures they can maintain their service standards.
