Designed to represent commuter operations throughout the Chicago region, these detailed bi-level passenger cars are an excellent addition to Burlington Northern passenger trains.

Originally built by the Budd Company to accommodate growing suburban passenger traffic, gallery cars featured a distinctive bi-level interior arrangement with upper seating galleries overlooking the center aisle. Their stainless steel construction, wide center doors, and increased passenger capacity made them a familiar sight throughout Chicago's commuter rail network.

Following the formation of Burlington Northern in 1970, these cars continued serving Chicago-area commuters.
