Minecraft Model Kits F18 Hornet NASA Aircraft

NASA has had many airplanes in inventory for both operational needs and for experimentation. The F-18A was adapted by NASA to test the use of “wing warping” as a technique for enhancing high-speed performance and the use of digital avionics for control of the advanced system technology. The F-18/X-53 continues to serve as a test bed for advanced high-speed research. The 1/72 scale Minicraft F-18A/X- 53 features special markings representing the X-53 as operated by the NASA at the Dryden Flight Research Center.
