Description
Based on the chassis of the M5 light tank, the American M8 self-propelled howitzer had an open turret housing a 75mm M3 artillery piece. From September 1942 to early 1944, around 1,800 units were produced. M8s fought in Italy, Western Europe and the Pacific, and supported American infantry until the end of WW2
Although Tamiya has already reproduced the M8 at 1/35 (35110 and 35312 ), this kit features a completely new design entirely based on intensive research on the real vehicle.
