These are actual reflective markings, our markings are all peel and stick. The stripes are 167mm / just over 2.5". This length helps ensure the stripes are easy to work with as they are super thin. When applying them be gentle with them due to the micro size. Lightly apply them to the model, once you are satisfied with the position apply some light pressure for the adhesive to fully set.

To cover up the stock faded yellow stripe on Scaletrains UP locomotives, I used this reflective striping and it makes a big difference! Above the fuel tank is the reflective striping, above the truck is the stock yellow stripe which looks too dull for UP.
