Woodland Scenics Support Panels provide a strong, lightweight foundation for creating realistic terrain on model railroad layouts, dioramas, and scenic displays. Made from durable extruded foam, these versatile panels serve as an easy-to-build understructure for mountains, hills, valleys, and elevated scenery while significantly reducing weight compared to traditional wood construction. Their generous size and easy-to-cut design make them ideal for both small layouts and large-scale scenery projects.
Support Panels are engineered to work seamlessly with the Woodland Scenics SubTerrain® System and are especially effective when paired with Road Risers™ to create elevated roadways and highway overpasses. Easily trim the panels with a Hot Wire Foam Cutter, Foam Knife, hobby knife, or even scissors to fit virtually any terrain design. Once installed, simply cover the framework with No-News Paper™ and Plaster Cloth to create a durable scenery shell ready for painting and landscaping.
Each package includes four lightweight panels measuring 18 x 24 inches and just 1/16 inch thick, making them easy to handle while providing excellent structural support.
