The Tangent Scale Models HO Scale Canadian National CNA #798022 Greenville 86' Quad Plug Door Boxcar recreates one of the massive former Grand Trunk Western auto-parts boxcars repainted into Canadian National's distinctive blue scheme. Modeled in its 1991+ Canadian National repaint appearance, this highly detailed HO Scale freight car represents a classic piece of 1990s automotive traffic.
The prototype cars came from the large ex-Grand Trunk Western fleet of Greenville 86' Quad Plug Door Boxcars originally built in 1970. Tangent captures their later Canadian National appearance with extensive modern-era door data, safety markings and prototype-specific lettering. In an especially distinctive detail, one side of the model reads “CANADIAN NATIONAL” while the opposite side reads “CANADIEN NATIONAL”, accurately matching prototype photographs.
