Atlas HO Code 100 45° Crossing – ATL174 is a fixed track section that allows two HO scale railroad tracks to intersect at a 45-degree angle. Built with solid nickel silver Code 100 rail and black injection-molded plastic ties, this precision-engineered crossing is designed to integrate with Atlas HO Code 100 track for reliable operation and consistent track geometry.

Unlike a turnout, which allows a train to change from one route to another, a crossing allows two independent tracks to pass directly across each other. Each route continues straight through the intersection, making this piece useful anywhere two railroad tracks need to physically cross without providing a route between them.

45° Crossing for HO Scale Track Layouts

The 45° crossing angle creates a substantially sharper intersection than Atlas' 19°, 25° and 30° Code 100 crossings. This makes the piece especially useful for track plans where two routes approach each other at a more pronounced angle and need to cross within a relatively compact area.

A 45° crossing can be incorporated into junctions, industrial areas, yards, branch lines and other custom track arrangements. It can also be useful when designing layouts where available space or surrounding track geometry requires one route to cross another at approximately a diagonal angle.
