Atlas HO Code 100 1/3 18" Radius Curved Track – 4-Pack – ATL835 includes four short curved sectional track pieces designed for precise adjustments when building HO scale model railroad track plans. Each piece maintains a consistent 18-inch radius while providing a one-third-length curved section for greater control over fixed sectional track geometry.

These compact curved sections are especially useful when a standard or half-length 18" radius curve would turn the track farther than needed. The 1/3 section provides a smaller amount of curvature while maintaining the same 18" radius, helping model railroaders accurately position curves between straight track, turnouts, crossings and other fixed track components.

Each section features solid nickel silver Code 100 rail and black injection-molded plastic ties, matching Atlas' traditional HO Code 100 track system.

What Does "1/3 18" Radius" Mean?

The 18" radius describes the actual radius followed by the curved track. The 1/3 designation refers to the shorter amount of arc provided by the individual track section compared with a standard Atlas 18" radius curved track piece.

This is not a 6" radius curve. The track maintains the same 18" radius while turning through a smaller angle. Think of it as a shorter piece of an 18" radius curve rather than a tighter curve.

This smaller amount of curvature makes ATL835 particularly useful as a curve adjustment or geometry-filler piece when working with fixed Atlas sectional track.

Fine-Tune 18" Radius Track Geometry

Atlas sectional track uses predetermined lengths, radii and angles. Standard 18" radius curved sections are useful for building the majority of a curve, but more complicated track arrangements can require smaller adjustments to make everything align properly.

The 1/3 18" radius section gives you another geometry option. It can be combined with standard and half-length 18" radius track to control exactly how much total curvature is incorporated into a particular section of your layout.

This can be especially useful around turnouts, crossings, sidings, yards and junctions where the location and angle of the connecting track need to be adjusted without changing to a different curve radius.
