Atlas N Scale Code 55 11.25° Crossing – ATL2040 is a fixed sectional track crossing designed to allow two N scale rail routes to intersect at a shallow 11.25° angle. Unlike a turnout, a crossing does not divert trains from one route to another. Instead, two independent tracks cross through one another, with each route continuing straight through the 11.25° intersection.

The shallow 11.25° crossing angle makes ATL2040 useful when two tracks need to intersect at a relatively gradual angle. Crossing vs. Turnout

ATL2040 is a crossing, not a turnout or track switch. There are no selectable routes or diverging points. Trains simply travel straight across the intersection on either of the two crossing routes.
