Atlas HO Code 83 True-Track 6" Straight Track – 4-Pack – ATL451 includes four 6-inch straight track sections for building and fine-tuning HO scale model railroad layouts. Part of the Atlas True-Track system, each section combines precision Code 83 track with integrated gray graveled roadbed for easy assembly and a realistic finished appearance.

Each package contains four 6" straight sections, providing a total of 24 inches, or 2 feet, of straight track. The shorter 6" length is especially useful when a standard 9" section is too long, allowing modelers to more precisely fit sidings, yards, station tracks and other areas into the available layout space.

Why Use a 6" Straight?

The 6" straight provides additional flexibility when designing a sectional-track layout. While longer straight sections are useful for covering distance quickly, shorter pieces allow the overall track length to be adjusted in smaller increments.

ATL451 is particularly useful for:

• Adjusting the length of passing sidings
• Building yard and staging tracks
• Industrial sidings and spurs
• Station and platform tracks
• Connecting turnouts and crossings
• Fine-tuning sectional-track geometry

Combine with 9" True-Track Straights

The 6" straight can be combined with Atlas 9" and other True-Track straight sections to achieve the length required by a particular track plan. For example, combining a 9" straight with a 6" straight creates a 15" straight section without cutting track.

This modular approach makes different straight lengths valuable when aligning turnouts, crossings, sidings and parallel tracks within a fixed layout space.

Atlas HO Code 83 True-Track

Atlas True-Track combines Code 83 track with molded gray graveled roadbed. The roadbed features correctly angled shoulders and provides the appearance of track installed over ballast while eliminating the need to install separate roadbed for basic setup.

The sectional design allows True-Track components to be assembled, disconnected and rearranged, making the system useful for permanent layouts as well as temporary, portable and beginner HO scale railroads.

Useful for Sidings, Yards & Industrial Track

Shorter straight sections become especially useful as a track plan grows beyond a simple oval. Turnouts, crossings and parallel tracks frequently create spaces where a full-length straight section will not fit.

The 6" length gives modelers another piece of fixed geometry for closing those gaps without immediately needing to cut and modify track.

Removable Code 83 Track

Atlas designs HO True-Track with Code 83 Snap-Track that can be removed from the molded roadbed. This provides additional flexibility if the track is later incorporated into a more permanent layout using a different roadbed or scenery system.
