Atlas HO Code 83 3' Super-Flex Track – 5-Pack – ATL500-5 includes five flexible 36" track sections for building custom HO scale mainlines, curves, easements, yards and sidings. Featuring nickel silver rail and prototypically fine brown ties, Atlas Code 83 Super-Flex Track combines flexible layout design with a realistic HO scale track appearance.

Each section measures 36" (3 feet) long. With five sections included, one package provides approximately 15 linear feet of HO Code 83 flex track.

Build Custom Curves & Straightaways

Unlike fixed sectional track, Super-Flex Track allows the modeler to determine the exact alignment of the railroad. It can be installed as straight track or formed into custom curves, making it ideal for layouts where fixed sectional-track geometry would be too restrictive.

Create More Natural-Looking Curves

Super-Flex Track allows curves to be shaped around the available layout space instead of limiting the railroad to predetermined sectional-track radii. This makes it possible to create broader, flowing curves and gradual transitions between straight and curved track.

When designing curves, always check the manufacturer's recommended minimum radius for the locomotives and rolling stock you plan to operate.

Reduce Joints on Long Track Runs

Each 36" Super-Flex Track section covers the same linear distance as four 9" straight sectional-track pieces. Using longer flex track sections can reduce the number of rail joints required along mainlines, yards and staging tracks while creating a smoother visual appearance.

With 15 feet of track per 5-pack, ATL500-5 is a practical option for expanding an existing layout or tackling a larger section of new trackwork.

Cut Track to the Exact Length Required

Atlas Super-Flex Track can be trimmed to fit the exact space required between turnouts, crossings, bridges and other fixed track components. This makes flex track especially valuable in complex track arrangements where standard sectional-track lengths do not line up perfectly.

After cutting flex track, make sure the rail ends are smooth and properly aligned before installing rail joiners and permanently securing the track.

Finish Cut Track with Code 83 End Ties

Cutting and joining flex track may require removing ties near the end of a section to provide clearance for rail joiners. Atlas Code 83 Flex Track End Ties can be used to fill these gaps and restore more consistent tie spacing at the finished joint.
