Designed for custom track alignment, Super-Flex Track can be used to create long straightaways, sweeping curves, easements, mainlines, yards and other track arrangements without being limited to fixed sectional-track geometry.

Each section measures approximately 36" (3 feet) long. With 25 sections included, this bulk package provides approximately 75 linear feet of HO Code 83 concrete-tie flex track, making it an excellent choice for larger layouts and major track-building projects.

Concrete Ties for Modern HO Trackwork

The defining feature of ATL502 is its simulated concrete tie construction. This makes it a useful alternative to traditional brown wood-tie Code 83 flex track when modeling railroad territory where concrete ties are appropriate.

Create Custom Curves

Super-Flex Track allows curves to be formed to suit the available layout space rather than limiting the railroad to predetermined sectional-track radii. This makes it possible to create broad, flowing curves and more realistic transitions between straight and curved track.

It is also well suited to spiral easement curves, where the track gradually transitions from straight track into the full curve instead of immediately entering a constant-radius curve.

Always check the manufacturer's recommended minimum radius for the locomotives and rolling stock you plan to operate when designing curved trackwork.

Build Long, Smooth Straightaways

Flex track is equally useful for straight track. Each 36" section provides three continuous feet of track, reducing the number of rail joints required compared with constructing the same distance from shorter sectional-track pieces.

This makes ATL502 especially useful for long modern mainlines, staging tracks and other areas where continuous track and a clean appearance are desirable.

Cut to the Length Your Layout Requires

Atlas Super-Flex Track can be trimmed to the length required by the track plan. This makes it especially useful when connecting turnouts, crossings, bridges and other fixed components where standard sectional-track lengths do not perfectly match the available distance.

After cutting flex track, make sure the rail ends are smooth and properly aligned before installing rail joiners and permanently securing the track.

Concrete Flex Track End Ties

When flex track is cut and joined, ties near the ends of a section may need to be removed to provide clearance for rail joiners. Atlas offers dedicated Code 83 Concrete Flex Track End Ties for filling these gaps and maintaining a more consistent concrete-tie appearance at finished track joints.
