Tamiya 87199 Panel Line Accent Color Dark Gray 40ml Enamel Wash

Bring out recessed details and add realistic depth to your models with Tamiya 87199 Panel Line Accent Color Dark Gray. This ready-to-use, pre-thinned enamel wash is formulated to flow easily into panel lines, seams, recessed rivets, molded details, and other fine surface features.

The Dark Gray color provides a softer, more subtle contrast than black, making it especially useful on white, light gray, metallic, and other lighter finishes where a black panel line may appear too harsh. It is an excellent finishing tool for aircraft, armor, vehicles, spacecraft, Gundam and sci-fi models, ships, and other plastic model projects.

A fine application brush is built directly into the bottle cap for convenient panel lining. Simply touch the brush to a recessed line and allow the thin enamel paint to flow along the detail. Once dry, unwanted excess can be carefully cleaned away with suitable enamel thinner.

Application Notes

For best results, apply Panel Line Accent Color over a properly cured gloss or suitable painted surface. Tamiya recommends applying it over lacquer or acrylic base coats and testing compatibility before use.

Because enamel washes can affect some plastics and underlying finishes, avoid excessive application around movable or load-bearing plastic parts. Extra care should also be taken over flat finishes, which can absorb the wash more readily.
