The Tangent Scale Models HO Scale Santa Fe ATSF #315993 PS4750 Covered Hopper recreates a Pullman-Standard PS-2CD 4750 from Santa Fe's GA-905 class in its distinctive October 1979 delivery appearance. Finished in light gray with light blue Santa Fe lettering, this highly detailed HO Scale freight car captures a sharp and recognizable ATSF covered hopper scheme from the late 1970s.
Santa Fe's GA-905 cars were built by Pullman-Standard and leased through the North American Car Corporation. Tangent reproduces that leasing heritage with the distinctive red, white and blue NACC badge along with detailed Pullman-applied Santa Fe graphics and data. Even small prototype lettering differences are represented, including the narrow Roman-style road numbers and individual North American Car Corporation serial information applied to the center sill.

The combination of its Santa Fe GA-905 prototype, Pullman-Standard construction and NACC leasing markings makes ATSF #315993 a distinctive addition to a late-1970s and later freight roster. Covered hoppers like these were well suited to grain and other dry bulk commodity traffic and can be incorporated into larger covered hopper blocks, unit trains and mixed freight consists.
Tangent's attention to the small lettering and mechanical differences of the prototype gives ATSF #315993 considerably more character than a generic Santa Fe covered hopper, making it an excellent choice for modelers building a prototype-focused ATSF freight car fleet.
