The Tangent Scale Models HO Scale PTLX Roland & Nevada PS4750 Covered Hopper #14258 recreates a colorful Pullman Transport Leasing Company freight car assigned to the Roland & Nevada Cooperative in Iowa. Built as part of a 25-car order, these bright blue Pullman-Standard PS-2CD 4750 covered hoppers entered service in 1974 and could travel well beyond their home territory in private-elevator leasing service.
PTLX #14258 is finished in the distinctive Roland & Nevada Iowa 1974 paint scheme, highlighted by detailed lettering and the cooperative logo mounted on a small placard at the center of the carbody. Tangent also reproduces details extending from the red roof grab irons to the PTLX reporting marks printed on the draft gear, giving the model the prototype-specific character of the original car.
