Walthers Cornerstone HO Scale 90' Turntable Kit - 933-3171 creates the centerpiece of a compact steam locomotive terminal. Based on turntables used at smaller railroad servicing facilities, this model allows locomotives to be turned and aligned with roundhouse stalls, service tracks, or outbound routes. The one-piece pit has a diameter of 13-3/16" (33cm), while the bridge accommodates locomotives up to 12-3/8" (30.9cm) long. Browse the complete Walthers Cornerstone model railroad buildings and structures collection for additional layout-building options.
Turntables were an important part of steam-era railroad operations because many locomotives needed to be turned at the end of a run. Smaller tables were commonly located beside roundhouses and locomotive servicing tracks at branch-line terminals, junctions, and other facilities. The 90' bridge provides a practical option for layouts that need turning capability but do not have room for a larger turntable.

The Walthers Cornerstone 90' Turntable Kit includes structural and mechanical components for creating a detailed operating scene:

- One-piece pit simplifies drop-in layout mounting
- Manually positionable bridge
- Bridge accommodates locomotives up to 12-3/8" (30.9cm) long
- Pit diameter of 13-3/16" (33cm)
- Gear-drive components included

Once assembled, the bridge can be positioned manually to align with approach tracks and roundhouse stalls. The supplied instructions cover track installation and electrical connections, while the optional motorizing kit provides a path for powered operation. Because the motor is sold separately, this product should be treated as a manually operated turntable unless that accessory is added.
