I have various Acrylics, lacquers, and enamels from various manufacturers. In general they all offer very similar products. Some blend well with each other. What they lacked were the pastel shades that had to be created. AK has done an excellent job of creating these pastels. The paint consistency is excellent and can be thinned with either AK Acrylic thinner or water. I never thought I would need pastel colors until the current figurine project I am currently working on. I haven't tried airbrushing it yet but it works great hand painting.
