Greenbrier Companies introduced the 89' Multi-Max in 2013. The prototype's innovative design allows it to be changed between bi-level and tri-level configurations without adding or removing decks. Multi-Max racks are compatible with existing 89' autoracks and can be found mixed into cuts of similar equipment or operating in solid autorack unit trains.
