Atlas N Scale Code 55 90° Crossing – ATL2045 is a fixed sectional track crossing designed to allow two N scale rail routes to intersect at a 90° right angle. Unlike a turnout or track switch, ATL2045 does not provide a selectable or diverging route. Instead, two independent tracks cross through one another at a 90° angle, with each route continuing straight through the intersection.

Crossing vs. Turnout

ATL2045 is a crossing, not a turnout or track switch. A turnout uses movable points to direct a train between different routes. A fixed crossing instead allows one track to physically cross another while both routes continue independently through the intersection.

Trains cannot transfer from one crossing route to the other through ATL2045. Each track simply continues straight across the 90° intersection, making it useful wherever two separate routes need to cross without creating a switching connection.
