Atlas N Scale Code 55 Terminal Rail Joiners with 22-Gauge Wire – ATL2092 provide a convenient way to make an electrical connection from your model railroad power supply to Atlas N Scale Code 55 track. Each terminal joiner features wire already attached to the rail joiner, eliminating the need to solder feeder wire directly to the rail for a basic track power connection.
Designed for the Atlas N Scale Code 55 track system, ATL2092 terminal joiners use 22-gauge wire and combine the function of a rail joiner with an electrical feeder connection.
Connect Your Power Supply to Code 55 Track
Atlas designed these terminal rail joiners specifically for making electrical connections between a power supply and the track. The rail joiner connects to the rail while the attached wire provides a convenient lead for connecting the track to the layout's electrical system.
This makes ATL2092 useful when initially wiring a layout, adding additional electrical feeds or expanding an existing Atlas Code 55 track system.
22-Gauge Wire Already Attached
Each terminal rail joiner features 22-gauge wire already attached. This provides a ready-made electrical connection at the rail and can simplify track wiring compared with attaching feeder wire directly to the rail.
Terminal rail joiners can be especially useful for modelers who want a clean and straightforward method of supplying electrical power to their track.
Rail Joiner and Electrical Connection in One
A standard metal rail joiner is primarily used to mechanically connect adjoining rails while maintaining electrical continuity through the joint. A terminal rail joiner adds an attached electrical lead, allowing power to be fed directly into the rail through the joiner.
This makes ATL2092 useful for:
- Connecting a power supply to the track
- Adding electrical feeder connections
- Wiring new Atlas Code 55 trackwork
- Expanding an existing N scale layout
- Adding additional power feeds around a larger railroad
- Replacing or modifying existing track power connections
Useful for DC and DCC Layout Wiring
Terminal rail joiners provide a physical connection point between the track and layout wiring. They can be incorporated into appropriately designed DC or DCC track wiring, depending on the electrical system and wiring configuration used on the railroad.
For larger layouts, multiple electrical feeder locations may be used to help distribute track power. The number and placement of feeders will depend on the layout size, track arrangement and control system.
Designed for Atlas N Scale Code 55 Track
ATL2092 is designed for the Atlas N Scale Code 55 track system, making it a useful wiring accessory when installing Atlas Code 55 sectional track, flex track, turnouts and other compatible track components.
