This bundle includes five 29.5" sections of Atlas Code 80 Super-Flex Track, providing a total of 147.5" or approximately 12.29 linear feet of track.

Atlas Code 80 track features nickel silver rail with black ties and has been a popular N scale track system for decades. Super-Flex Track can be shaped to follow the specific geometry of your layout, making it especially useful for larger layouts and track plans where smooth, flowing curves and custom track lengths are desired.

What Is Super-Flex Track?

Unlike sectional track, which uses pieces manufactured to predetermined lengths and curve radii, flex track can be shaped to follow the track alignment required by your layout. This gives modelers much greater freedom when designing realistic railroad routes.

Flex track is especially useful for creating broad curves, gradual transitions, custom-radius curves and long straight sections while reducing the number of rail joints required compared with building the same distance entirely from short sectional-track pieces.

Atlas N Scale Code 80 Track

Atlas Code 80 is one of the company's established N scale track systems. The rail measures approximately .080" high and Atlas manufactures its Code 80 track with nickel silver rail and black ties.

Code 80 provides a durable and versatile track system suitable for layouts ranging from compact N scale railroads to large permanent installations.

Reduce the Number of Rail Joints

Each Super-Flex section measures 29.5" long, allowing a substantial distance of track to be installed with a single piece. Longer flex-track sections can reduce the number of rail joints required compared with constructing the same distance from shorter sectional-track pieces.

Fewer joints can also create a cleaner appearance and make it easier to establish smooth transitions through curves and other custom track alignments.

Cut Flex Track to Fit Your Layout

Super-Flex Track can be trimmed as needed during installation, making it useful for filling custom distances between turnouts, crossings, sectional track and other fixed track components.

When flex track is curved, the rails may extend different distances at the end of the section. The rails can be trimmed and aligned as necessary before adjoining track sections are connected.

Plan Curves for Your Equipment

Although flex track allows modelers to create custom-radius curves, the appropriate curve radius should be selected based on the locomotives and rolling stock that will operate on the layout. Longer locomotives and cars generally benefit from broader curves.

Always check the recommended minimum radius for your N scale equipment when designing trackwork.
