Atlas N Scale Code 80 1/2 11" Radius Curved Track – 6-Pack – ATL2521 includes six fractional curved track sections for creating precise curves and fine-tuning track geometry on N scale model railroad layouts. Each section maintains a full 11" radius while providing half the angular length of a standard Atlas 11" radius curved track section.

Each ATL2521 section provides approximately 15° of curvature. With six pieces included, one package provides 90° of total curvature. Featuring Code 80 nickel silver rail and black railroad ties, these fractional curves integrate with the Atlas N Scale Code 80 Snap-Track system.

1/2 11" Radius – Not a Smaller Radius

The “1/2” designation refers to the length and angular coverage of the track section, not the radius. Each ATL2521 section still follows a full 11" radius curve.

A standard Atlas 11" radius curved track section provides approximately 30° of curvature. The ATL2521 half section provides approximately 15° while maintaining the same 11" radius.

This means ATL2521 is not a 5-1/2" radius curve. It is a shorter section of an 11" radius curve, making it useful when a standard curved section would create too much angular change.

15° Per Curved Track Section

The fractional geometry provides smaller curve adjustments while maintaining a consistent 11" radius:

• 1 section: 15°
• 2 sections: 30°
• 4 sections: 60°
• 6 sections: 90° quarter-circle
• 12 sections: 180° half-circle
• 24 sections: 360° full circle

One ATL2521 6-pack therefore provides enough track to create a complete 90° quarter-circle when all six sections are connected together.

Fine-Tune N Scale Curve Geometry

Fractional curved track is especially useful when building layouts from fixed-geometry sectional track. The shorter 15° sections allow smaller directional adjustments than a standard 30° curved section.

Combine with Standard 11" Radius Curved Track

ATL2521 can be combined with standard Atlas 11" radius curved track because both follow the same radius. The difference is simply the amount of curvature provided by each section.

For example, one standard 30° section combined with one ATL2521 15° section creates a 45° curve while maintaining a consistent 11" radius throughout the entire curve.

This makes fractional curved track valuable for connecting fixed track components where standard 30° sections alone cannot provide the required alignment.

11" Radius Curves for N Scale Layouts

The 11" radius provides a broader curve than Atlas 9-3/4" radius sectional track while remaining compact enough for many N scale layouts. These fractional sections allow modelers to take advantage of that radius without being limited to full 30° curve increments.

Minimum-radius requirements vary between locomotives and rolling stock, so always check the equipment manufacturer's recommended minimum radius when planning your layout.

Atlas N Scale Code 80 Snap-Track

ATL2521 is part of the Atlas N Scale Code 80 Snap-Track system. Atlas Snap-Track uses fixed sectional geometry and can be connected with compatible Code 80 track components for quick and straightforward layout construction.

Code 80 refers to rail measuring approximately .080" high. Atlas Code 80 track uses nickel silver rail with black ties and is available in straight track, curved track, turnouts, crossings, flex track and other components.

Each ATL2521 section features nickel silver Code 80 rail with black railroad ties, matching other components throughout the Atlas N Scale Code 80 track system.

The matching construction allows these fractional 11" radius curves to be incorporated into new Atlas Code 80 layouts or used to modify and expand existing track arrangements.
