Atlas N Scale Code 80 15° Crossing – ATL2564 is a fixed-angle track crossing designed to allow two independent N scale track routes to intersect at a 15-degree angle. Featuring Code 80 nickel silver rail and black railroad ties, this crossing integrates with Atlas N Scale Code 80 track for building realistic junctions and more complex track arrangements.

Unlike a turnout or switch, a crossing does not route a train from one track to another. Instead, the two routes cross through one another while each route continues straight through the intersection. The shallow 15° angle makes ATL2564 particularly useful where two tracks need to intersect at a relatively gradual angle.

15° Fixed Track Crossing

ATL2564 provides a predetermined 15° crossing angle, allowing two separate tracks to intersect while maintaining their respective routes through the crossing.

Crossing vs. Turnout

With the Atlas 15° Crossing, trains approaching on either route continue through the crossing on the same track alignment rather than being diverted onto the intersecting route.

Atlas Code 80 is one of the company's established N scale track systems. Code 80 rail measures approximately .080" high and combines durable nickel silver rail with black ties for reliable model railroad operation.

ATL2564 is designed to integrate with other compatible Atlas N Scale Code 80 track components, making it useful when expanding an existing track plan or constructing a new N scale railroad.

The crossing features nickel silver rail and black railroad ties, matching the construction and appearance of Atlas N Scale Code 80 track.

Nickel silver rail is widely used for model railroad track because of its durability and electrical characteristics, while the molded black ties provide the traditional appearance associated with the Atlas Code 80 track system.

Shallow 15° Crossing Geometry

The relatively shallow 15-degree intersection allows the two track routes to cross at a more gradual angle than Atlas crossings with larger crossing angles. This can be particularly useful when the track plan calls for two routes that intersect while traveling in generally similar directions.

Because the crossing geometry is fixed, surrounding track should be planned to align correctly with the four approaches to the crossing.
