Atlas N Scale Code 80 Scenic Ridge 3' x 6' Track Pack – ATL2588 provides the Atlas track components needed to complete the track plan for the popular 3' x 6' Woodland Scenics Scenic Ridge N Scale layout. Designed for modelers of virtually any experience level, this comprehensive track package combines Atlas N Scale Code 80 Snap-Track with turnouts, a bridge, rail joiners and additional track accessories in one convenient package.

The Scenic Ridge Track Pack is an excellent solution for modelers who want to build the Scenic Ridge track plan without purchasing every Atlas track component individually. Atlas Code 80 track features nickel silver rail and black ties and provides a durable, reliable track system for N scale model railroads.

Designed for the 3' x 6' Scenic Ridge Layout

Atlas ATL2588 is specifically assembled to provide the track components required for the 3-foot by 6-foot Scenic Ridge track plan. The package includes straight and curved sectional track in multiple lengths and radii along with turnouts, electrical connection components, a bumper and bridge.

Please note: This is the Atlas track package for the Scenic Ridge track plan. It is not a complete train set or complete scenery/layout kit. Locomotives, rolling stock, power equipment and the Woodland Scenics Scenic Ridge layout kit are separate unless specifically stated otherwise.

Atlas N Scale Code 80 Snap-Track

The Scenic Ridge Track Pack uses Atlas N Scale Code 80 Snap-Track, one of Atlas's long-established N scale track systems. Code 80 rail measures approximately .080" high and combines nickel silver rail with black ties.

Sectional Snap-Track uses predetermined lengths, curve radii and turnout geometry, making it especially convenient when constructing a layout from an established track plan such as Scenic Ridge.

Multiple Curve Radii

The Scenic Ridge plan uses several different curve radii to create its compact and visually interesting track arrangement. ATL2588 includes 9-3/4", 11" and 19" radius curved track, along with fractional curved sections needed to complete the planned geometry.

Using several radii allows the railroad to fit within the 3' x 6' footprint while creating more varied trackwork than a basic oval.

Includes Three Left-Hand Turnouts

The package includes three left-hand turnout switches for creating the diverging routes required by the Scenic Ridge track plan. Unlike a crossing, a turnout provides a selectable route that allows a train to continue along one alignment or diverge onto another track.

These turnouts are incorporated into the Scenic Ridge design to create more interesting operations than a simple continuous-running loop.

Includes Track Bridge

ATL2588 also includes a bridge required by the Scenic Ridge track arrangement. The bridge works with the elevation changes incorporated into the layout design and helps create the distinctive multi-level appearance associated with Scenic Ridge.

Rail Joiners & Electrical Connection

The package includes 186 rail joiners for connecting the numerous sectional track components together along with a terminal joiner for providing an electrical connection to the track.

The terminal connection allows layout power to be supplied to the rails. The appropriate power supply, wiring and control equipment should be selected separately according to the electrical system being used.

Includes Track Bumper

A track bumper is also included for the end of the appropriate stub track in the Scenic Ridge plan. Track bumpers provide a physical end point for tracks that terminate rather than continuing into another route.

Great for Building a Complete N Scale Layout

Because the necessary track components are packaged together around an established 3' x 6' track plan, ATL2588 is particularly useful for modelers who want to move directly into building a more involved N scale railroad without designing every piece of track geometry from scratch.

The Scenic Ridge layout provides opportunities for continuous running, switching and varied scenery within a relatively compact N scale footprint.
