Atlas N Scale Code 80 Standard Left Remote Turnout – ATL2700

Atlas N Scale Code 80 Standard Left Remote Turnout – ATL2700 provides a complete electrically operated left-hand turnout for building sidings, yards, industrial spurs and other branching routes on an N scale model railroad. Featuring nickel silver rail, black ties and an attached remote-control switch machine, ATL2700 allows the turnout to be electrically thrown from your layout control panel rather than requiring manual operation directly at the track.

Atlas also includes a #56 Switch Control Box and one 19" radius curved track section, providing the components needed to incorporate the turnout and its remote operation into an Atlas N Scale Code 80 track system.

Standard Left-Hand Turnout

ATL2700 is a standard left-hand turnout. When approaching the turnout from the single-track end, one route continues through the turnout while the diverging route branches toward the left.

This geometry makes the turnout useful for a wide variety of N scale track arrangements, including:

• Passing sidings
• Freight yards
• Industrial spurs
• Engine facility tracks
• Staging tracks
• Passenger station tracks
• Branching track arrangements

Remote Electrical Operation

Atlas equips ATL2700 with an attached remote-control switch machine. Once properly wired, the turnout can be thrown electrically from the layout control panel, allowing the operator to change the selected track route without reaching the turnout itself.

Remote turnout control is particularly useful for switches located farther from the operator, larger layouts and track plans using centralized control panels.

#56 Switch Control Box Included

Atlas includes a #56 Switch Control Box with ATL2700. The control box provides the operator interface for electrically throwing the attached switch machine and changing the selected route.

Includes 19" Radius Curved Track

ATL2700 also includes one piece of 19" radius curved track. This additional curved section can be incorporated into track arrangements such as a reverse curve leading from the diverging route into a parallel siding.

Nickel Silver Rail & Black Ties

Like the rest of the Atlas N Scale Code 80 track system, ATL2700 features nickel silver rail with black ties. Nickel silver rail is widely used in model railroad track systems for dependable electrical conductivity and reliable operation.
