Atlas N Scale Code 80 Standard Right Remote Turnout – ATL2701

Atlas N Scale Code 80 Standard Right Remote Turnout – ATL2701 provides a complete electrically operated right-hand turnout for building sidings, passing tracks, yards and other routing arrangements on an N scale model railroad. Featuring nickel silver rail, black ties and an attached remote-control switch machine, this turnout can be electrically thrown from your layout control panel rather than requiring manual operation at the track.

Atlas also includes a #56 Switch Control Box and one 19" radius curved track section, giving modelers the components needed to incorporate the turnout and its remote operation into an Atlas N Scale Code 80 track system.

Right-Hand Standard Turnout

ATL2701 is a right-hand turnout. When approaching the turnout from the single-track end, one route continues through the turnout while the diverging route branches toward the right.

This geometry makes the turnout useful for creating:

• Passing sidings
• Freight yard tracks
• Industrial spurs
• Engine facility tracks
• Staging tracks
• Passenger station tracks
• Branching track arrangements

Remote Electrical Operation

Unlike a manual turnout that must be thrown at the track, the Atlas ATL2701 features an attached remote-control switch machine. Once wired, the turnout can be thrown electrically from a control panel, allowing the operator to change the selected track route from a convenient location.

This is especially useful when a turnout is located farther away from the operator or when building a layout with centralized turnout controls.

#56 Switch Control Box Included

Atlas includes a #56 Switch Control Box with this remote turnout. The control box provides the operator interface for electrically changing the turnout position after the switch machine has been properly wired into the layout.

Includes 19" Radius Track Section

ATL2701 also includes one piece of 19" radius curved track. This additional curved section can be used with the turnout when constructing track arrangements such as a reverse curve leading into a parallel siding.

Atlas N Scale Code 80 Construction

This turnout is part of the popular Atlas N Scale Code 80 track system and features black ties with nickel silver rail. Atlas Code 80 offers a broad selection of compatible track components including flex track, straight sections, curved sections, turnouts and crossings.

Using components from the same track system makes it easier to plan and expand a complete N scale railroad using compatible track geometry.
