Atlas N Scale Code 80 Standard Right Manual Turnout – ATL2703 provides a reliable hand-operated right-hand turnout for building sidings, yards, industrial spurs and other track arrangements on an N scale model railroad. Part of the popular Atlas Code 80 track system, this turnout features nickel silver rail, black ties and manual operation for straightforward control directly at the track.

Atlas also includes one piece of 19" radius curved track with the turnout. For modelers who later want electrical remote operation, ATL2703 can be converted using the compatible Atlas #2716 Right Remote Switch Machine.

Standard Right-Hand Turnout

ATL2703 is a right-hand turnout. When approaching the turnout from the single-track end, one route continues through the turnout while the diverging route branches toward the right.

This geometry makes it useful for a variety of N scale track arrangements, including:

• Passing sidings
• Freight yards
• Industrial spurs
• Engine facility tracks
• Staging yards
• Passenger station tracks
• Branching track arrangements

Manual Turnout Operation

This version is equipped for manual operation. The selected route is changed by moving the turnout lever by hand, making ATL2703 a straightforward choice for layouts where electrical remote turnout control is not required.

Manual operation is especially useful for turnouts located within easy reach of the operator, including foreground yards, industrial switching areas and compact layouts.

Convertible to Remote Control

Atlas designed this manual turnout so it can be converted to remote electrical operation. The compatible Atlas #2716 Right Remote Switch Machine can be installed to allow the turnout to be controlled electrically instead of being thrown by hand.

This provides flexibility for modelers who want to begin with manual operation and upgrade the turnout to remote control later.

Includes 19" Radius Curved Track

Atlas includes one 19" radius curved track section with ATL2703. The additional curve can be incorporated into track arrangements such as creating a reverse curve from the diverging route into a parallel siding.
