Each package contains four 3" straight sections, providing a total of 12 inches, or 1 foot, of straight track. The compact 3" length is particularly useful as a fitting section when longer True-Track straights will not match the exact dimensions required by a track plan.

Why Use a 3" Straight Track Section?

Short straight sections are important when working with fixed sectional-track geometry. A longer straight may leave a track arrangement several inches too long, while ATL452 allows the overall length to be adjusted in smaller 3-inch increments.

Useful Around Turnouts & Crossings

The value of a short 3" straight becomes especially apparent as a track plan grows more complex. Turnouts, crossings, parallel tracks and industrial sidings can create small gaps where standard-length straight sections do not fit properly.

ATL452 provides a compact piece of fixed geometry that can help complete these connections while remaining within the Atlas True-Track sectional system.

Atlas HO Code 83 True-Track

Atlas True-Track combines Code 83 track with molded gray graveled roadbed. The roadbed features correctly angled shoulders and provides the appearance of railroad track installed over ballast without requiring separate roadbed for basic setup.

The sectional design makes True-Track easy to assemble, disconnect and rearrange, making it suitable for permanent layouts as well as temporary, portable and beginner HO scale railroads.

Removable Code 83 Track

Atlas designs HO True-Track with Code 83 Snap-Track that can be removed from the molded roadbed. This gives modelers additional flexibility if the track is later incorporated into a more permanent layout using a different roadbed or scenery system.
