Atlas HO Code 83 True-Track 1-1/2" Straight Track – 4-Pack – ATL453 includes four short straight track sections designed for precise adjustments when building an HO scale True-Track layout. Each section measures 1-1/2" long, providing a total of 6 inches of straight track per package.

The compact 1-1/2" length makes ATL453 especially useful as a fitting section. When a 3", 6" or 9" straight would make a track arrangement too long, these short sections allow the overall length to be adjusted in much smaller increments without cutting track.

Why Use a 1-1/2" Straight?

Short sectional-track pieces become valuable when a layout contains turnouts, crossings, sidings and other fixed-geometry components. These components can leave small spaces that cannot be filled correctly with a standard-length straight section.

ATL453 allows the length of a True-Track route to be adjusted in 1-1/2" increments, making it useful for:

• Closing small gaps between track components
• Fine-tuning passing siding lengths
• Aligning parallel tracks
• Yard and staging trackwork
• Industrial sidings and spurs
• Station tracks
• Turnout approaches

Fine-Tune True-Track Geometry Without Cutting

One of the biggest advantages of a 1-1/2" straight section is the ability to make small dimensional changes while remaining within the sectional True-Track system. Instead of cutting a longer piece of track to fill a short space, ATL453 provides a factory-made section with the appropriate integrated roadbed.

This can be especially helpful when working around multiple turnouts or crossings where several fixed track dimensions need to line up correctly.

Combine with Other True-Track Straight Lengths

The 1-1/2" straight can be combined with Atlas 3", 6", 9" and other True-Track straight sections to create a wide range of overall lengths.

For example, combining a 1-1/2" section with a 3" section creates 4-1/2" of straight track, while adding one to a 9" straight creates a 10-1/2" straight run. These different lengths make it easier to fit sectional track into the available layout space.

Atlas HO Code 83 True-Track

Atlas True-Track combines Code 83 nickel silver rail and brown ties with integrated gray graveled roadbed. The roadbed features correctly angled shoulders and provides a finished ballast-style appearance without requiring separate roadbed for basic track setup.

The sectional design makes True-Track easy to assemble, disconnect and rearrange, making it useful for permanent layouts as well as temporary, portable and beginner HO scale railroads.

Removable Code 83 Track

Atlas HO True-Track uses precision Code 83 Snap-Track that can be removed from the molded roadbed and used separately. This provides additional flexibility if a modeler later decides to incorporate the track into a more permanent layout with a different roadbed or scenery system.
