Atlas HO Code 83 True-Track 2" Straight Track – 4-Pack – ATL454 includes four short straight track sections for building and fine-tuning HO scale model railroad layouts. Each section measures 2" long, providing a total of 8 inches of straight track per package.

The compact 2" length makes ATL454 especially useful as a fitting section when longer True-Track straights will not match the dimensions required by a track plan. It can be combined with other Atlas True-Track straight lengths to make precise adjustments without cutting track.

Why Use a 2" Straight Track Section?

Short straight sections provide additional flexibility when working with fixed sectional-track geometry. Turnouts, crossings, sidings and other components can create small spaces where a standard 3", 6" or 9" straight section is simply too long.

The 2" length allows the overall track arrangement to be adjusted in smaller increments, making ATL454 useful for:

• Fine-tuning passing siding lengths
• Aligning parallel tracks
• Yard and staging trackwork
• Industrial sidings and spurs

Fine-Tune True-Track Geometry Without Cutting

ATL454 gives modelers another fixed straight length for solving track-plan geometry without immediately needing to cut or modify track. The 2" section can fill spaces that do not work with the longer standard True-Track straight sections.

This becomes particularly valuable on more complex layouts where multiple turnouts, crossings or parallel tracks must line up within a specific amount of space.

Combine with Other True-Track Straight Lengths

The 2" straight can be combined with Atlas 1-1/2", 3", 6", 9" and other True-Track straight sections to create a wide range of overall track lengths.

For example, a 2" section combined with a 3" section creates 5" of straight track, while adding a 2" section to a 9" straight creates an 11" straight run. Mixing different straight lengths gives modelers greater control over the final dimensions of a sectional-track layout.

Atlas HO Code 83 True-Track

Atlas True-Track combines Code 83 nickel silver rail and brown ties with integrated gray graveled roadbed. The roadbed features correctly angled shoulders and provides a realistic ballast-style appearance while eliminating the need for separate roadbed during basic track setup.

The sectional design makes True-Track easy to assemble, disconnect and rearrange, making it suitable for beginner layouts, temporary setups, portable railroads and permanent HO scale layouts.

Removable Code 83 Track

Atlas HO True-Track uses Code 83 Snap-Track that can be removed from the molded roadbed and used separately. This provides additional flexibility if the track is later incorporated into a more permanent layout using a different roadbed or scenery system.
