Atlas HO Code 83 & TruTrack Remote Switch Machine – Left – ATL584 is a left-hand remote switch machine for compatible Atlas HO scale track switches. Designed as a separate turnout-control component, ATL584 is useful when replacing a compatible switch machine or equipping appropriate Atlas trackwork for remote turnout operation.

This product is the switch machine only rather than a complete turnout. It is especially useful for maintaining and upgrading Atlas HO Code 83 and compatible TruTrack trackwork without purchasing an entire replacement switch.

What Does a Remote Switch Machine Do?

A model railroad switch machine operates the movable points of a turnout. Moving those points determines which track route a locomotive or train will follow through the switch.

A remote switch machine allows this turnout movement to be controlled electrically rather than requiring the operator to manually move a lever directly beside the track. This can make turnout operation more convenient on larger layouts and in locations that are difficult to reach.

Left-Hand Configuration
