Atlas HO Code 83 Flex Track End Ties – 12-Pack – ATL598 provides replacement end ties for finishing cut sections of Atlas HO Code 83 flex track. When flex track is trimmed to length, ties near the end of the track may need to be removed to provide clearance for rail joiners. These replacement ties clip onto the end of the Code 83 flex track to fill the resulting gap and restore a more complete, realistic tie appearance.

Each package contains 12 brown Code 83 flex track end ties. They are specifically designed for Atlas HO Code 83 flex track and are not compatible with Atlas Code 100 flex track.

What Are Flex Track End Ties?

When installing flex track, the rails frequently need to be cut to the exact length required by the layout. Depending on where the cut falls, one or more ties may need to be removed from the end of the track so rail joiners can be installed properly.

That can leave a visible gap in the tie spacing at the track joint. Atlas Code 83 Flex Track End Ties are designed to fill that gap after the track has been cut and joined, helping maintain consistent tie spacing and a finished appearance.

Designed for Atlas Code 83 Flex Track

ATL598 is specifically designed to clip onto the ends of Atlas HO Code 83 flex track. The brown ties coordinate with the prototypically fine brown tie appearance used throughout the Atlas Code 83 track system.

Important: Atlas specifically states that Code 83 End Ties will not work with Code 100 Flex Track. Use these only with compatible Atlas HO Code 83 flex track.

Why Use End Ties?

Flex track provides tremendous freedom for building long straightaways, broad curves, easements and custom track alignments, but cutting and joining flex track can leave areas where the normal tie spacing is interrupted.

End ties help finish those joints by replacing the missing ties beneath the rails. This is particularly valuable before ballast and weathering are applied, when achieving consistent tie spacing makes the finished trackwork look much more realistic.
