Atlas HO Code 100 Straight Terminal Track – ATL840 provides a convenient way to connect electrical power to an HO scale model railroad while functioning as part of the layout's regular straight track. Designed for the Atlas HO Code 100 track system, this terminal section allows wiring from a compatible model railroad power supply to be connected to the rails so locomotives can receive operating power.

The track features solid nickel silver Code 100 rail and black injection-molded plastic ties, matching Atlas' traditional HO Code 100 track system. It can be incorporated directly into a mainline, siding or other straight section of track where a convenient electrical feed point is needed.

What Does a Terminal Track Do?

A model railroad requires an electrical connection between the rails and the layout's power source. A terminal track provides a convenient track-level connection point for this wiring, eliminating the need to solder feeder wires directly to the rails for a basic installation.

Once connected to a compatible power supply or control system, electrical power is transferred through the terminal track to the rails and then distributed through electrically connected sections of track.
