Bachmann HO Scale Track Cleaning 40' Gondola – Christmas – North Pole & Southern
Keep your railroad running smoothly while adding a festive freight car to your Christmas train with the Bachmann HO Scale Track Cleaning 40' Gondola decorated for North Pole & Southern. This fully assembled, ready-to-run gondola combines the appearance of a traditional 40' steel freight car with Bachmann's functional dry track-cleaning system.
Based on a steel gondola design that first appeared on railroads in the late 1920s, the 40' gondola features low sidewalls representative of the versatile open-top cars used to transport everything from steel and scrap metal to ballast and other bulky loads. This Christmas edition adds colorful North Pole & Southern decoration, making it a fun and functional addition to a seasonal HO Scale train.
Built-In Dry Track Cleaning System
Bachmann's track-cleaning system uses a die-cast cleaning pad holder with flexible plastic arms attached to the car's interior axles. The removable dry cleaning pad rides along the railheads as the car travels around the layout, helping remove light amounts of dirt, dust, and grime from the track.
Simply place the gondola behind a locomotive and run it around your railroad for convenient routine track maintenance. The cleaning pad is removable, reusable, and dishwasher safe, and replacement Bachmann track-cleaning pads are also available separately.
