Detroit, Toledo & Ironton 70-Ton Covered Hopper
Pullman-Standard 70-ton two-bay covered hoppers were introduced during the mid-1950s and served North American railroads for decades. Designed to transport bulk commodities such as cement, grain, and other granular materials, these versatile freight cars were commonly found in industrial and general freight service.
Bowser recreates this classic covered hopper in HO scale with a detailed injection-molded body, accurate railroad paint and lettering, and an open-side configuration. The Detroit, Toledo & Ironton #80001 model features free-rolling trucks with metal wheels and magnetic knuckle couplers for reliable operation on your model railroad.
