This matched two-car set includes Amfleet II Coach #25003 and Amfleet II Coach #25107, both finished in Amtrak's modern Phase VII appearance for modelers recreating present-day intercity and long-distance passenger operations.
The prototype Amfleet II passenger cars were developed for longer-distance Amtrak service, featuring the distinctive rounded stainless-steel construction associated with the Amfleet family. Unlike the Amfleet I, Amfleet II cars feature a single vestibule and were designed with accommodations better suited to longer-distance passenger trains.
These Kato N Scale models wear the modern Amtrak Phase VII paint scheme. Phase VII uses a dual-blue design with accent colors identifying different service levels, with green used for coach-class equipment.
